Toxic Fandom Exposed

Magic Bullet Productions has been running for over twenty years.

In that time, we've had the pleasure of meeting and working with countless talented and professional people.

However, as the Second Doctor once said, 'There are some corners of the universe which have bred the most terrible things. Things which act against everything we believe in. They must be fought...'

This quote brings us to the late musician and writer, Peter Trapani, who, during the Doctor Who "Wilderness Years", launched the obscure audio series Layton's Mission.

Trapani quickly became infamous not for his work but for his malicious, destructive, and frequently deranged behaviour. His campaign of harassment—which even included the planting of a fake bomb—negatively impacted independent producers, as well as sci-fi retailers across both the UK and the USA.

Trapani's actions inspired Magic Bullet to launch a subtle parody in the form of the maniacal inventor Leighton, who appears in Kaldor City: Hidden Persuaders

Now, thanks to researcher Atom Bezecny (Phantom Eye), we have a new perspective.

Atom's article not only documents the shocking extent of this hostility but also includes a brilliant piece of authorised fiction that serves as Leighton's final, unhinged moments.
